T/N:
1. The original word is 骚. As known to all, there often isn't a direct translation. In this case, to me, I think "slutty" fits better, but I played safe by adding "coquettish". Once again, to play even safer, I searched up on Baidu as well. The top two results on Baidu with the best answers seem closer to "slutty" than "coquettish". The line in red also says that "have sex appeal" doesn't bring out the negative connotation 骚 has in Chinese. Contrasting opinions are welcomed! It's good to have a different perspective since the translations you think of are related to what you're exposed to 😄

2. This is an old draft found from July. I initially didn’t post it as I was quite late to the game. I’m posting it today in replacement of something I couldn’t post. I wanted to post articles about a movie controversy in which iPartment was suspected of stealing box office digits from The Island as netizens have stepped forward to claim that they purchased The Island tickets but were given iPartment tickets instead. However, both posts that I saved (which were the top 2 most popular posts on the issue) were deleted for you-know-what reasons :D I’ll just post the comments here anyway so you‘ll know more about what’s going on. Feel free to read if it's of interest to you. Likes aren’t updated as the post was deleted when I was about to update the likes. (Efficiency is the best policy.)
3. I'm sorry that WBG is a little messy and inconsistent. There has been an attempt to include evidence of the existence of the comments translated but the act of collecting and compiling evidence is more tedious than the translating process itself, so I'm still trying to design an efficient process. I'm thankful to the amazing and nice readers!
4. Switched from 'we' to 'I' as it seems like only one person is doing this blog.
5. Would you rather see T/N in the post or in the comments? Would the length of it affect your opinion?

iPartment under controversy for allegedly stealing box office numbers from The Island

Netizens have reported that they bought tickets to The Island but was instead given iPartment tickets.

https://m.weibo.cn/3212093237/4272476656176160

1. Do they think that their mediplay isn’t a huge enough topic and that their plagiarism isn’t embarrassing enough?

2. They even stole from The Meg

3. Someone wants to do iPartment in, doing them dead
-Doing them dead is akin to doing a good deed
-Who’s doing in such trash movies? It’s them who do themselves in

4. So this is it... I thought I bought the wrong tickets. Trashy iPartment

5. Raise your hands if you’re not going to watch iPartment

6. The alleged evidence are just those few pics. Sometimes the pics we see may not necessarily be real. Netizens, please don’t be led astray by internet water army. Let’s view this rationally and not be influenced this easily. More than 10 of us bought tickets together but nothing like this happened. We watched The Island on the first day and iPartment the second day, it was all fine. Also, it’s personal preference what kind of movies you enjoy or what kind of celebrities you like. No one else has the rights to say anything.
-China Film Report has started collecting evidence. Indeed, he cannot be proven of not stealing box office just based on your words alone. I’ll wait for our country to investigate.

7. As a human, you should still have a bottom line :)

8. There’s a type of person I absolutely detest. You have never watched the movie but go along with the hate and scold iPartment for being a tomb raider film. I think iPartment is pretty good. Although all of you say that they are plagiarizing, selling the sentimental act, but iPartment is just like that. Isn’t it normal to randomly dream of raiding tombs?
-I’ve seen this paragraph copy and pasted countless times. Can you add me into the group so that we can earn money together? :-)
